# Make Roblox games faster with AI

Speed in game development is not about typing faster. It is about shortening the loop between an idea and a result you can judge. Most of the lost time sits in a few places: boilerplate, glue code, debugging, and repeated manual testing. Here is where an AI agent saves the most time, and how to keep the gains.

## Where the time goes

Track a typical session and you will see the same patterns:

- Writing the same kinds of scripts again: pickups, doors, shops, spawners.
- Wiring remotes and UI between client and server.
- Hunting a bug caused by a typo or a wrong container.
- Pressing Play, walking to a spot, and reading Output over and over.
- Copying code between a chat window and Studio.

Each one is small. Together they eat most of an evening.

## 1. Let the agent write the boilerplate

Standard systems are exactly what language models know well. Ask for the feature in plain terms and review the diff. You still decide how it behaves, but you stop typing the scaffolding.

## 2. Remove the copy and paste

Moving code between a browser tab and Script Editor loses context and invites mistakes. An agent that edits the place directly applies the change where it belongs and shows you the diff. That alone removes a surprising amount of friction.

## 3. Batch your thinking with plan mode

For a bigger feature, ask for a plan, fix the plan, and let the agent build the whole thing. Correcting a plan takes seconds. Correcting finished code takes minutes.

## 4. Automate the check

Ask the agent to run the game and confirm the feature works. It can start Play, read the console, press keys, and take a screenshot. You get a result and a short report instead of a manual test.

## 5. Match the model to the task

A stronger model is not always the right one. Simple edits and quick questions are cheap and fast on a light model, and some are free. Save the capable models for architecture, tricky bugs, and large refactors. Kiwari shows a model picker with a short note on each, so you can switch mid-project.

## 6. Keep the context short

Long chats get slower and cost more because the whole conversation is read every turn. When a task is done, start a new chat. Kiwari warns you when a chat is getting large and offers to compact it. Keep decisions in the place's memory notes so a fresh chat can pick up where you left off.

## 7. Work on several things at once

You can run more than one chat in the same place. Kiwari allows several runs at once, for example one chat on UI and another on a data system. Writes to the place are queued so the chats do not step on each other.

## What not to speed up

- **Reading diffs.** This is the safety net. Skim fast, but read.
- **Playtesting for feel.** Only you can judge it.
- **Design decisions.** A fast bad design is still bad.

## A faster daily workflow

1. Open Studio and Kiwari.
2. Pick one feature and write a two-sentence prompt.
3. Plan mode for anything with more than two parts.
4. Review the diff, approve, and ask for a check.
5. Note decisions in memory.
6. New chat for the next feature.

## What to expect

AI will not make every task faster. Novel mechanics and balance still take thinking. But the repetitive middle of the process becomes much shorter, and that is where most hobby and small-team projects stall.
